Wild Buffalo Relay Recap – Costco Guy Style

Woke up at 4:30 AM to catch the Long Beach flyer 🥲 (doom). But then, guess who I saw? Ray, Tyler, and Anton were on the flyer too! (BOOM!)
Breakfast time! Had the best skillet ever in Avalon, major shoutout to The Pancake Cottage – 3 HUGE BOOMS for that one!
Mornings on Catalina are straight-up magical. (BOOM)
Then, right as the race started, we spotted a whale! 🐋 (BOOM!)
But, of course, the weather app lied – conditions were flat, and I’m still salty about it 🥲 (doom). But then we saw a sunfish! ☀️🐟 (BOOM!)
The race itself was an absolute blast – perfect weather, amazing vibes, and chasing down folks all the way back to Newport (5 MASSIVE BOOMS).
Our escort boat driver, David, was an absolute legend (3 BIG BOOMS).
After my last change, David hands me a beer 🍺 (BOOM). And then, riding in the escort, cheering Calvin on in the harbor? (BOOM!)
Let’s not forget about the race food… (BOOM). But let me tell you, the race fatigue hit HARD 😴 (doom).
Final thoughts: Great time, great race, even better vibes, and a day filled with even greater people. 😀
