What. A. Weekend.
The NAC Junior Rowing program made history at the 2025 Southwest Junior Regional Championships! For the first time ever, both our boys’ and girls’ teams brought home gold in events never before won by NAC crews. And the best part? Every single athlete on our active roster raced — showing off the strength, speed, and grit built over the last eight months of hard work.
Friday – Time Trials:
Crews launched into solo runs against the clock, racing for semifinal seeding. This round tests mental toughness — no side-by-side competitors, just you, your boat, and the stopwatch. NAC handled it like pros, advancing a huge fleet to the next round.
Saturday – Semifinals:
Boats raced head-to-head for a shot at Sunday’s grand finals. And NAC showed up big time.
🚣♀️ Girls:
All four varsity eights made the final, alongside our U17 1st & 2nd eights and U16 eight. Small boats? Also fire — varsity entries in the four, quad, double, pair, and single all advanced.
🚣♂️ Boys:
Both 1V and 2V eights advanced, along with the U17 1st eight and coxed four. Small boat success continued with the varsity straight four, coxed four, double, and pair all punching tickets to finals.
Sunday – Grand Finals (aka the Showdown):
The top four in each final earned bids to Youth Nationals in Sarasota, FL — and NAC showed what we’re made of.
