On April 2, 2023, a crew of cancer fighters are teaming up with NAC Members and local Veterans with Be Open Water to compete in the Puakea Designs Wild Buffalo Relay. The Wild Buffalo Race is an all-small craft relay race within the SoCal Ocean Racing winter series. The race includes all small craft divisions with relay teams of 2-4 people (depending on the craft) or select solo divisions. The race runs from Avalon, Catalina Island, CA to the Newport Aquatic Center in Newport Beach, CA. This is a 32-mile course.
The Florence Marine X Wild Buffalo Burgee Recover T-Shirt is a special collaboration with the NAC | We Are Ocean organization. Dedicated to helping cancer survivors experience the ocean in new ways, We Are Ocean embodies the ‘Get Out There’ ethos that is the backbone of the Florence brand.

Made using Recoverimage.png yarns. This process transforms textile waste straight from the factory floor into high-quality recycled fibers. The textile waste that’s collected is color-sorted before being converted and spun into new fibers, saving energy, avoiding pollutants and limiting our water use making these materials some of the lowest impact textiles available.
The result is a soft, essential T-Shirt that’s easier on the places we explore.
