Men’s Recap

The 2026 USRowing Youth National Championships came to a close this weekend, and the NAC boys delivered one of the strongest overall performances in program history against an exceptionally deep national field.

The Men’s Varsity 8+ capped off an impressive regatta with a 6th-place finish nationally. After navigating one of the most competitive events at the regatta, where mere seconds separated much of the field, the crew battled through the semifinals and earned a spot in the Grand Final, ultimately finishing among the top six crews in the country. We are incredibly proud of this group’s effort and commitment throughout the course of the season.

The Men’s 2V continued its impressive season, placing 4th overall in the nation. The crew raced consistently throughout the week and narrowly missed the podium while establishing itself as one of the fastest second varsity boats in the country. They rowed hard and gave themselves a chance in the Grand Final, leaving everything they had on the course.

The Men’s 3V put together a remarkable championship performance, winning the B Final to finish 9th overall nationally. Perhaps most impressively, the crew was the highest-finishing third varsity boat in the regatta, earning the distinction of being the fastest 3V in the country.

Rounding out the weekend, the Men’s U17 4+ earned a silver medal with a 2nd-place finish in the nation. The crew raced aggressively throughout the regatta and delivered an outstanding performance in the Grand Final, bringing home NAC’s highest finish of the championship.

Beyond the results, we were especially impressed with the way this group bought into the process and embraced the work required to compete at the highest level. Their commitment to one another and willingness to trust the coaching staff throughout the year were key factors in the success they achieved this season.

Thank you to all of our coaches for their tireless effort in preparing these athletes for the highest level of competition. We also want to thank our families and supporters, whose commitment makes opportunities like this possible.

We look forward to building on this year’s performances and continuing the strong legacy of NAC men’s rowing for years to come.

Women’s Recap

The NAC women’s team wrapped up an outstanding week of racing at the 2026 USRowing Youth National Championships, highlighted by a national runner-up finish in the U17 8+ and strong performances throughout the program.

The Women’s Varsity 8+ closed out its season by winning the B Final to finish 9th overall in the nation. After advancing through one of the deepest fields at the regatta, the crew responded with an excellent final race and finished the championship as one of the top ten programs in the country.

The Women’s 2V battled through a highly competitive event to finish 5th in the B Final, securing 13th overall nationally. The crew showed tremendous growth throughout the season and continued to improve against some of the strongest programs in the country.

The Women’s U17 8+ delivered one of the top performances of the entire championship, earning a silver medal and finishing 2nd in the nation. The crew raced with confidence and speed throughout the week and established itself as one of the premier U17 boats in the country.  This boat really rallied around each other after finishing 3rd at our regional championship just a month ago.

The Women’s U17 4+ capped off its season by finishing 2nd in the C Final, securing 18th overall in the nation. The crew gained valuable championship racing experience and represented NAC well on the national stage.

The level of competition throughout the regatta was unlike anything we have seen in recent years. In several events, only a few seconds separated more than a dozen crews, creating incredibly competitive racing from the first stroke to the finish line. Our athletes rose to that challenge and demonstrated the work ethic, resilience, and competitive spirit that have defined this group all season. We know we will have a strong group returning next year and encourage all nationals athletes to take some well earned time off to recover and enjoy the early stages of their summer!

Congratulations to all of the athletes, coaches, and families on an exceptional year. To finish the season with multiple crews racing in national finals and two silver-medal performances is a testament to the strength and depth of the women’s program and provides tremendous momentum heading into next season.
