NAC Member Appreciation Day

Summer at the Newport Aquatic Center is almost here, and we’re excited to kick it off by celebrating the people who make this place so special: our members!

This year, we’re taking Member Appreciation Day to the next level and turning it into a full community event designed to celebrate, connect, and showcase everything NAC has to offer!

From 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM, members can stop by the activation tent on the washdeck for coffee, community, and a fun morning around the boathouse. We’ll have NAC swag available for purchase, along with a custom NAC hat-making station where members can build and press their own hat on-site.

Now for the fun part – the all-day 500m Erg Challenge. We’ll be crowning the fastest times in each age division, with prizes up for grabs and bragging rights on the line. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor, weekend warrior, paddler, rower, or just suddenly feeling wild after your second cup of coffee, step up and take your shot at the leaderboard!

This is also a chance for members to learn more about everything happening at NAC. Staff and coaches will be available throughout the day to answer questions and share information about camps, teams, programs, community events, and ways to get more involved around the boathouse!

We’ll also be sharing information about the Newport Back Bay, local wildlife, and the environment we get to enjoy every day on the water. Plus, in partnership with the John Wayne Cancer Foundation’s Block the Blaze initiative, we’ll have sun safety tips and resources to help keep our outdoor community protected out there.

Member Appreciation Day is meant to be more than just a morning event; it’s an opportunity for members to connect with each other, learn more about the greater NAC community, and celebrate the programs, people, and environment that make the Newport Aquatic Center such a special place!
