Four NAC sprint kayak athletes just wrapped up an incredible week of racing at the Canoe Sprint U23 World Championships in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal! All winter long, these athletes trained here at NAC, logging 90+ km on the water most weeks to prepare for this moment. Elena Wolgamot, Kali Wilding, Emma McDonald, and Knytly Sybounmy lined up against the world’s best kayakers under the age of 23 to put their training to the test. Across the four athletes there were multiple personal bests, exciting races, and they qualified for three finals. This is a huge step forward for these NAC athletes as they build momentum towards even bigger international results.
